Our management board

The NADC Board

The NADC management board is drawn from professionals within the industry covering every level of responsibility. This includes board members that have specific skills in management, leadership, legislation, insurance and quality. These are combined with members whose skills are a more practical knowledge running drainage companies and having expertise in drain and sewer clearance, investigation and remediation. Expectations of the Board as a Whole

As the highest leadership body of the association and to satisfy its management duties, the board is responsible for:

  • determining the mission and purposes of the organisation
  • strategic and organisational planning
  • ensuring strong fiduciary oversight and financial management
  • approving and monitoring the organisation’s programs and services
  • enhancing the organization’s public image
  • assessing its own performance as the governing body of the organisation

Expectations of Individual Board Members

Each individual board member is expected to:

  • know the organisation’s mission, policies, programs, and needs
  • faithfully read and understand the organization’s financial statements
  • serve as active advocates and ambassadors for the organisation and fully engage in identifying and securing partnerships necessary for the organization to advance its mission
  • leverage connections, networks, and resources to develop collective action to fully achieve the organisation’s mission
  • help identify personal connections that can benefit the organisation’s reputational standing and influence public policy
  • prepare for, attend, and conscientiously participate in board meetings
  • participate fully in one or more committees
  • maintain confidentiality about all internal matters of the organization
