Headline Sponsor for National Drainage Awards 2024 announced!

Whale Tankers confirmed as new Event Sponsor

The National Association of Drainage Contractors (NADC) has announced that Whale Tankers will be the Headline Sponsor of the 2024 National Drainage Awards which will be celebrated at the Awards Dinner at Excel on Wednesday 27th November. The Awards Dinner, which will be held on the middle evening of the National Drainage Show, is expected to attract more than 400 people representing all aspects of the drainage industry.

Julian Wynn, Chair of NADC commented: ‘We are delighted that Whale have taken the Headline Sponsor position for this year’s Awards. Building on the great success of the first Awards last year, we are sure that the Awards this year will be even bigger and better. It is testament to the success of last year’s Awards that a company of the standing of Whale have made such a commitment to the event’.

Phil Harris from Whale said: ‘We are really pleased to have the opportunity to take the lead sponsorship position at this year’s National Drainage Awards. The Awards recognize the extraordinary contribution that so many drainage contractors and their employees make to maintaining and repairing the vital drainage infrastructure in this country, day in and day out. Whale is a truly committed supplier and supporter of the drainage industry, particularly as asset maintenance takes ever greater prominence in the role of reducing surface water flooding and effluent discharge. Our sponsorship of the Awards is a demonstration of that commitment.’

The Awards will be given out by ex-footballer and manager Harry Redknapp, (also famous for winning ‘I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!’) who will take part in a Q & A session alongside his old West Ham teammate Tommy Taylor. As an additional feature, ex World Champion Boxer, John Conteh will conduct an auction of boxing memorabilia in aid of the Ex-Boxers Association, this year’s nominated charity for the Awards.
